Can you believe we are already halfway through the summer? The warm season always flies by with the kids out of school and so much fun to be had, but with a little planning you can be sure to soak up every minute of it. To help you take advantage of the last month of summer, here are a couple of August events you should not miss!
Weekend Glow Jump: On Saturday, August 8th, gather up the kids and head to Pump It Up on Neroly Road for a night of fun! From 5:40-7:00 p.m., Pump It Up is hosting an open jump so your kids can bounce, slide, twirl, and play in their safe and fun LED glow lit facility. Oakley California has an exhilarating entertainment lineup during July of this year. The 79th Annual Oakley Rodeo and 4th of July Celebration is the local event that has the entire community abuzz. Festivities begin on July 2, and last through the 5th with fun and excitement for the entire family.
There are exciting activities planned for each day of the event, but the celebration’s climax is on the 4th. The day will start with an early morning 5k race, a parade, followed by a moving patriotic program at the Oakley Recreation Complex. Fill up on delicious barbeque afterward, before attending the Junior Rodeo at high noon. There are plenty of other activities that the kids can enjoy throughout the afternoon before the main rodeo begins at 8 PM. This event is one of the most highly anticipated highlights of Northern California’s entire July 4th celebration.
